Eisenkot officially launches bid for prime minister: 'Israel deserves a new chapter'
Former IDF Chief of Staff Gadi Eisenkot officially launched his campaign for prime minister, calling the upcoming election “decisive for Israel’s security, unity and soul.”
At the launch of his Yashar! party campaign, Eisenkot pledged that a government led by him would expand the size of the IDF and establish a state commission of inquiry into the failures surrounding the October 7 attack.
“Israel deserves a new chapter,” Eisenkot said, presenting his candidacy as an alternative to the current leadership ahead of the national elections.
