Senior U.S. official: Netanyahu asked Trump to delay strike on Iran
According to a New York Times report citing a U.S. official, Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu asked President Donald Trump on Tuesday to delay a strike on Iran, shortly before Trump delivered a speech in which he said he had been told that the killing in Iran had stopped.
The White House confirmed that a call took place between Trump and Netanyahu but declined to provide details about the conversation.
