Saudi official says Iran and its proxies are planning an attack on the kingdom
A senior Saudi official told Al Arabiya that intelligence assessments point to coordination between Iraqi militias, Yemen’s Houthis, and Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps aimed at carrying out an attack against Saudi Arabia.
The reports came as a “shock,” the official added, as Riyadh seeks to ease tensions and advance diplomatic solutions, with talks reportedly moving in a positive direction.
The official warned that Saudi Arabia would take all necessary steps to confront any act of aggression.
