Rockets siren activated in Israeli Golan Heights communities, no injuries reported
Two rockets were fired from southern Syria at Israel's Golan Heights on Saturday evening but fell in open areas without causing injuries or damage, according to Israel Defense Forces.
Sirens were activated in the communities of Eli Ad, Avnei Eitan and Nov, in the southern part of the Golan Heights.
The Israeli army responded by attacking the areas where the rockets were launched from.
This was the first rocket attack from Syrian territory since Oct. 29, according to the Times of Israel.
Reports from Syrian social media accounts claimed the rockets were fired from areas held by Shi’ite militias near the Syrian town of Dara’a.
