Report: Lebanon facing US pressure to negotiate directly with Israel on a political and security agreement
The Hezbollah-affiliated Lebanese newspaper Al-Akhbar reported this morning that the U.S. is pushing Lebanon to suspend the work of the ceasefire oversight committee and establish a new civilian body focused on direct talks with Israel.
