Protest convoy against violence in Arab society heads to Jerusalem
A nationwide protest convoy against violence in Arab society set out Sunday morning from Shefa-Amr toward Jerusalem, as part of a national day of disruption organized by the Popular Social Forum for the Struggle Against Violence in Arab Society.
Participants reported that the police were delaying vehicles attempting to join the convoy near Caesarea. The convoy is expected to arrive at the Government Quarter in Jerusalem, where a demonstration and press conference are planned. Even before the convoy entered the city, police deployed a water cannon near the Prime Minister’s Office.
