PM Netanyahu meets Gaza Board of Peace chief, who stresses: 'Hamas must disarm'

Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu met with Gaza Board of Peace (BoP) Director Nickolay Mladenov and his team at the Prime Minister’s Office in Jerusalem, Netanyahu's office stated.

Netanyahu and Mladenov already met last week, against the background of intense discussion aimed at getting Hamas to agree to a disarmament process, which the terror group has denied.

During a press conference, Mladenov reiterated that Hamas would need to lay down its weapons while continuing to exist "as a political movement."

“We have a ceasefire. It is holding. It is not perfect. It is far from perfect. There are violations every day, and some of them are very serious,” Mladenov noted.
