Pakistan claims 'significant progress' in talks with Iran
Pakistan and Iran made "significant progress" in a recent meeting between Field Marshal Asim Munir and the President of Iran, Masoud Pezeshkian, according to Pakistani Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi, who also took part in the meeting.
Writing on X, he said the "positive and productive meeting" focused on the "way forward" in the conflict with the U.S., "as well as the steps needed by both sides for restoration of the Islamabad MoU thereby leading to comprehensive settlement of the conflict."
"The Iranian President candidly shared his Government’s perspective and concerns, and we had a very constructive exchange on the issues involved. Significant progress was made, and the meeting concluded on a highly positive note," said Naqvi.
