Over 1,400 Jewish pilgrims visit Temple Mount in Jerusalem
Approximately 1,400 Jewish pilgrims visited the Temple Mount in Jerusalem on Monday, according to the ‘Hozrim LaHar’ organization.
Hozrim Lahar is an activist organization working for Jewish religious rights on the Temple Mount.
On Sunday, 859 Jewish pilgrims visited the former site of the Jewish Temple, which today is under the control of the Jordanian Waqf, an Islamic religious trust.
Despite a ban on Jewish religious rituals on the Temple Mount, one of the visitors on Sunday managed to sneak a lulav and etrog into the site, according to Hozrim Lahar. These are two of the “four species” used for Jewish prayers during Sukkot.
