Outgoing Mossad chief: Regime change in Iran is an achievable goal

Outgoing Mossad Director David Barnea said that replacing Iran’s regime is a realistic and attainable objective, arguing that Tehran is currently weaker and more vulnerable than in the past.

Speaking at his farewell ceremony, Barnea reiterated his longstanding pledge that Iran must never acquire nuclear weapons. “I believed, and I still believe, that changing the reality in Iran through regime change is a possible and achievable goal,” he said.

Barnea described the effort as a historic mission requiring determination, patience, and persistence, adding that it should remain a top strategic priority for Israel.
