Official Israeli aid delegation to depart for Venezuela for earthquake response

An official Israeli delegation will depart for Venezuela on Tuesday to help with the response to the massive earthquakes that struck the country, at the instruction of Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and Foreign Minister Gideon Sa'ar, a spokesman for Sa'ar announced.

The delegation will include representatives of the Foreign Ministry, the IDF, and the IDF Home Front Command, as well as Ambassador Yoed Magen, who was raised in Venezuela and will lead the Foreign Ministry's team.

"Additional experts from the Home Front Command and the National Emergency Management Authority (NEMA) are expected to join at a later stage. The experts will work in cooperation with their Venezuelan counterparts and according to the needs on the ground," the statement said.
