‘Nobody Wants This’ star Adam Brody calls Gaza war 'genocide'
Jewish actor Adam Brody, star of the popular Netflix series “Nobody Wants This,” said he believes Israel is committing genocide in Gaza and expressed support for a “free Palestine,” according to the Times of Israel.
Brody made the comments in a recent interview with GQ, saying he had not previously shared his views publicly.
“Put me down as thinking it’s a genocide. Put me down as wanting a free Palestine. It’s awful that it’s taken so much death and misery, but it does feel like it’s reaching a breaking point that it should have a while ago,” he said.
Brody also said he hoped “another administration” could “correct some of these policies that are helping that situation be as awful as it is.”
While Brody did not specify which administration he meant, his comments came as he discussed his political activism and efforts to canvass for Democratic candidates ahead of the U.S. midterm elections, which will be held Nov. 3. Israel’s next Knesset election is scheduled for Oct. 27.
