'No Gaza withdrawal', Israeli official affirms after cabinet ministers slam US Gaza deal
A senior "political source" affirmed that the IDF will not conduct withdrawals in the Gaza Strip, after cabinet ministers came out publicly against the U.S.-backed deal declared by U.S. President Donald Trump last week.
"Israel will not withdraw from its current line in the Gaza Strip and will continue to thwart any threat to our civilians and soldiers," the source briefed Israeli media outlets.
Earlier, Finance Minister Bezalel Smotrich and Settlements Minister Orit Strock demanded that the Prime Minister immediately halt the entry of the International Stabilization Force (ISF) into the Gaza Strip as part of the deal.
"The Cabinet's decision was made on the basis of incorrect information. The 'Roadmap' document published by the Board of Peace is dangerous for Israel and completely contradicts the disarmament of Hamas and the demilitarization of Gaza," they declared.
