New diplomatic presence in Jerusalem: Ecuador opens Innovation Office with diplomatic status
Ecuador opened a new Innovation Office in Jerusalem, adding another diplomatic bureau in Israel's capital.
Foreign Minister Gideon Sa’ar stated: “Latin American countries Guatemala, Paraguay, and Honduras have already moved their embassies to Jerusalem. President Javier Milei has announced his intention to move Argentina’s embassy to Jerusalem in the spring of 2026.”
The inauguration was held at the Asper Innovation Center on the Edmond J. Safra Campus of the Hebrew University in Givat Ram, Jerusalem, on Monday.
“The opening of Ecuador’s Innovation Office with diplomatic status in Jerusalem is another milestone in this important direction. I commend President Noboa and Ecuador for this important decision,” said Sa'ar.
“We will continue to strengthen Jerusalem, our eternal capital!”
