Netanyahu sends aid delegation to Colombia following earthquake
Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu instructed the immediate dispatch of an aid delegation to Colombia, his office announced Wednesday evening, following a request from Colombian President Abelardo de la Espriella.
"The State of Israel shares in the grief of the families of those killed in the disaster and will provide full assistance to the Republic of Colombia," the statement read.
The country had been hit by a magnitude 7.4 earthquake earlier this week. Authorities said that it killed at least 265 people, injured more than 3,500 and left almost 500 missing.
