Naftali Bennett vows to declare Qatar an 'enemy state' if elected
Israel will officially declare Qatar as an enemy state if former prime minister Naftali Bennett wins in the coming elections, he said at the INSS National Security Conference.
"If I am prime minister—I will immediately declare Qatar an enemy state. Qatar's leaders have a goal of destroying the State of Israel, period. Qatar is a violent antisemitic cancer that sends its metastases throughout the entire West, even to the Prime Minister's Office," Bennett said.
"When I was prime minister, I received intelligence that Qatar financed Iran's Revolutionary Guards, [Syria's] Jabhat al-Nusra, and Hamas."
