MK Abbas: Netanyahu trying to delegitimize Arab Ra’am party
Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said last night that Israel will “complete the process” of outlawing the Muslim Brotherhood, praising former U.S. President Donald Trump for moving toward designating the organization as a terrorist group.
Netanyahu’s remarks were widely interpreted as a direct warning to Ra’am, the Arab party in the Knesset, which his political allies have repeatedly tried to link to the Muslim Brotherhood. The statement heightened political tensions after Ra’am leader Mansour Abbas accused the prime minister of working to delegitimize the party and push for its disqualification from future elections.
