Military intelligence probe: Hamas used emoji code to signal October 7 attack
An internal Military Intelligence (Aman) investigation conducted in the weeks following the October 7 massacre revealed that Hamas operatives used emoji codes to signal preparations for the assault.
According to details cleared for publication on Monday, the emojis were used to indicate that the time had come to launch the attack aimed at overrunning the Gaza Division, and to instruct militants to assemble at designated staging points. The findings highlight the covert communication methods employed in the lead-up to the unprecedented assault.
