Major Jewish groups to rally against antisemitism during UN General Assembly in New York
Leading Jewish organizations will hold a major rally in New York City on Sept. 23 as world leaders gather for the United Nations General Assembly, calling for stronger international action against rising antisemitism.
The demonstration will urge global leaders to “act decisively to stop the growing tide of antisemitism,” with organizers declaring in promotional materials: “Tell world leaders — no more excuses.”
The rally is backed by a broad coalition of Jewish organizations, including UJA-Federation of New York, the Anti-Defamation League, American Jewish Committee, Conference of Presidents, Yeshiva University, Israeli-American Council and StandWithUs.
The coalition also includes the Jewish Community Relations Council of New York, Union for Reform Judaism and United Synagogue of Conservative Judaism, bringing together organizations from across the Jewish communal spectrum.
