Lithuania issues red air alert amid suspected drone incursion in Latvia
Lithuania issued a red alert in the country’s central and northern regions over fears of an air attack following concerns about a possible drone incursion in neighboring Latvia.
Residents were instructed to enter shelters after reports of an “unidentified flying object.” NATO jets responded to the threat, and the airport in Kaunas was closed.
Meanwhile, Latvia issued a yellow-level air alert in the country’s southern region.
