'Lion's Wings' mission to bring home Israelis stuck abroad

Israel’s government will vote by phone Wednesday to approve “Lion’s Wings” to bring home citizens stranded abroad.

The program, expected to launch in the coming days, includes a return route to Israel via flights to Taba Airport in Egypt. The National Security Council recommended returning citizens to go directly from the airport to the border crossing, without remaining in Egypt.

They also warned returning Israelis to “conceal anything that could identify you as Israeli or Jewish,” and refrain from posting updates on social media.

The rescue effort is expected to receive a budget of five million shekels, KAN News reported.
