Lebanon’s ambassador to US: “This is a historic moment for Lebanon”
Lebanon’s ambassador to the United States hailed the newly announced ceasefire agreement as a “historic moment” for Lebanon and thanked U.S. President Donald Trump for his role in the process.
Her remarks came after the U.S. State Department announced that Israel and Lebanon had agreed to implement a ceasefire, contingent on Hezbollah ending its attacks and withdrawing from areas south of the Litani River. The agreement was reached following the latest round of negotiations between the two countries in Washington.
