Lebanese president to meet Trump at White House on July 21
The Lebanese Embassy in Washington announced that President Joseph Aoun has been invited to the White House for a meeting with U.S. President Donald Trump on July 21.
According to the embassy, the invitation reflects the close partnership between Lebanon and the United States. The two leaders are expected to discuss bilateral relations and continued U.S. support for Lebanon’s sovereignty and stability.
The announcement comes as Aoun continues to reject, for now, the possibility of a trilateral White House meeting that would also include Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu.
