Lebanese outlet unveils 'roadmap' for Gaza demilitarization
The Lebanese newspaper Al-Akhbar unveiled on Thursday a proposed “roadmap” for a second phase of disarmament under Palestinian leadership and international supervision in the Gaza Strip.
According to the report, the weapons would be transferred to a designated national committee and not handed over to Israel.
It adds that a national peacekeeping committee would be granted exclusive authority to regulate, register, and collect unlicensed weapons in the enclave.
