Knesset passes Communications Law despite legal objections
The Knesset gave final approval to the Communications Law in its second and third readings, despite warnings from the Knesset's legal adviser that the legislative process was flawed.
Communications Minister Shlomo Karhi said Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu had initiated the legislation, despite Netanyahu's conflict-of-interest agreement. “Sir, the mission you assigned me has been completed,” Karhi said following the bill's passage.
