Justice minister, other ministers to boycott attorney general despite High Court ruling
Despite the Supreme Court’s decision on Sunday to overturn the government’s move to dismiss Attorney General Gali Baharav-Miara, Justice Minister Yariv Levin and several other ministers are expected to continue boycotting her.
Baharav-Miara, for her part, intends to continue working with the government as usual and may even be invited to meetings on an exceptional basis, including cabinet discussions.
Following the court ruling, the government is expected to accelerate legislation to split the attorney general’s role and appoint an additional officeholder. Law enforcement officials say the crisis is already unfolding.
