Jordanian military shoots down four Iranian drones after intercepting 6 missiles earlier

The Jordanian military shot down four Iranian drones, a senior military source told the official Petra news agency. The interception caused no casualties or material damage, he added.

The statement came shortly after a barrage of six Iranian missiles targeted Jordan's border area with Israel near the city of Aqaba, with explosions and debris impact being seen and heard in Eilat.

Four of them were intercepted while the other two "fell in remote, uninhabited areas, resulting in no casualties or material damage."

The military source "stressed that the Jordanian Armed Forces continue to monitor the Kingdom's airspace and maintain the highest level of operational readiness to respond to any threat targeting Jordan's security and the safety of its citizens."
