Israel's Foreign Minister receives 70 Evangelical leaders from Latin America
Israel's Foreign Minister Gideon Sa'ar received a delegation of about 70 prominent Evangelical leaders from Latin America who arrived in Israel under the auspices of the Foreign Ministry on Tuesday.
According to Sa'ar, the visit is intended to "strengthen ties with Israel's friends in Latin America, deepen their understanding of Israel's reality, and express support for Israel and the Jewish people. The delegation includes leaders and opinion-makers from the fields of media, academia, religion, and others."
During remarks to the group, Sa'ar noted that Israel has no "diplomatic relations with Venezuela, but we sent a rescue delegation with the Home Front Command and experts to help rescue those affected by the terrible tragedy that struck the people of Venezuela. Assistance to the people themselves in these difficult moments is not connected to politics—it is a humanitarian act."
