Israeli woman detained in Turkey for 10 days on suspicion of 'insulting Erdoğan and the Turkish flag'

An Israeli woman has been detained in Turkey for more than 10 days, KAN News reported on Sunday evening.

The woman was arrested on suspicion of “insulting President Erdoğan and the Turkish flag," after chanting slogans against the Turkish government in Istanbul’s Taksim Square.

Israel’s Foreign Ministry says it is aware of the case and that it is being handled by the department for Israelis abroad.
