Supreme Court president targeted with shouts of 'trash' and 'kapo' during Sde Teiman hearing
A dramatic High Court hearing began on Thursday, hearing petitions against Justice Minister Yariv Levin’s move to appoint retired judge Yosef Ben-Hamo in place of the attorney general to oversee the investigation of disgraced Military Advocate General Yifat Tomer-Yerushalmi.
Whistles and shouts from protesters were directed at Supreme Court President Amit, forcing the session to be interrupted.
Amit responded that he was “glad it is being seen how attempts are made to intimidate the court.”
