Israeli, Paraguayan FMs highlight ties, Iran concerns in Jerusalem meeting
Israeli Foreign Minister Gideon Sa’ar hosted Paraguayan Foreign Minister Rubén Ramírez Lezcano in Jerusalem on Sunday, highlighting the growing ties between the two countries and following his own recent visit to Asunción.
Sa’ar praised Paraguay’s decision to move its embassy to Jerusalem, describing it as a “moral decision” in a post on 𝕏, adding, “Paraguay is one of Israel’s greatest friends in the world.”
He also addressed regional and global security concerns, commending Paraguay for designating Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps as a terror organization. “The Iranian regime spreads terror beyond the Middle East, including to Latin America,” Sa’ar said.
