Israeli officials say Trump unlikely to approve Iran strike
Amid reports in the foreign media, Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has held discussions with senior security officials on the Iranian threat ahead of his upcoming trip to the United States.
Senior Israeli officials confirmed that Iran is working to rebuild its ballistic missile capabilities, but said the scale is significantly lower than what has been reported abroad.
The issue is expected to be raised during Netanyahu’s anticipated meeting with U.S. President Donald Trump. Israeli officials have expressed doubt that Trump would approve a broad aerial strike that could trigger wider escalation, citing Iran’s missile rehabilitation efforts as insufficient justification.
