Israeli NBA player Deni Avdija leads Trail Blazers with triple-double in win
Israeli forward Deni Avdija marked his 25th birthday overnight (Saturday–Sunday) with a standout performance, leading the Portland Trail Blazers to a 115–110 road win over the San Antonio Spurs.
Avdija recorded the fifth triple-double of his NBA career, finishing as Portland’s leading scorer with 29 points, 11 rebounds, and 10 assists in 39 minutes, along with one block and two turnovers.
With the Spurs cutting the deficit to 111–110 with 1:36 remaining, Avdija sealed the win by hitting two consecutive three-pointers in the closing moments, the last with 49 seconds left on the clock.
