Israeli music icon Matti Caspi dies at 76
Israeli musician Matti Caspi, one of the most influential figures in Israel’s musical landscape, has died at the age of 76 after a battle with cancer.
Caspi, a recipient of ACUM’s Lifetime Achievement Award, composed and arranged nearly 1,000 songs and played a central role in shaping the soundtrack of Israeli culture. Over his decades-long career, he collaborated with leading artists and creators, including Ehud Manor, Riki Gal, and Shlomo Gronich, leaving behind a lasting and deeply cherished legacy.
