Israeli film selected for prestigious Sundance Film Festival
The Sundance Film Festival — the largest independent film festival in the United States — unveiled its upcoming program Wednesday, featuring a prominent Israeli selection.
“Independence,” the new narrative feature by director Moshe Rosenthal, has been accepted into the festival’s prestigious World Cinema Dramatic Competition, which showcases just 12 films worldwide.
The Israeli-French co-production, from Green Productions and United King Films, is set in 1987 and follows Boaz as he discovers a devastating secret about his father — a revelation that triggers far-reaching consequences for the family.
