Israeli DM Katz threatens Beirut strike if Hezbollah fire continues
Israeli Defense Minister Israel Katz warned that Israel could strike Beirut’s Dahiyeh district if attacks on northern Israeli communities continue, declaring that “there will be no situation in which our communities are fired upon and we do not respond.”
Speaking at a defense exports conference, Katz said Israel would target Hezbollah’s stronghold in southern Beirut if rocket and drone attacks persist. He added that IDF operations inside Lebanon would continue regardless and argued that the principle of responding forcefully to attacks on Israeli civilians has been communicated to the Lebanese government and other relevant parties.
