Israeli Air Force kills Hamas aerial force commander as massive bombing campaign continues
An overnight Israeli airstrike killed the commander of Hamas’ aerial forces in the Gaza Strip, the IDF stated on Saturday morning.
Murad Abu Murad was the head of the Hamas unit responsible for the aerial assault using hang gliders during last Saturday’s large-scale terror attack against Israel.
He also “took a big part in directing terrorists during the massacre,” the IDF said, adding that he was killed in an attack on the aerial force’s headquarters.
In another broad wave of strikes, the IDF targeted dozens of sites of the Nukhba unit, the Hamas’ commando force operatives that led the infiltration and assault on Israel last weekend.
