Israel to provide humanitarian aid to Panama following earthquake
Israel will provide humanitarian assistance to Panama following an earthquake that struck the country on Friday evening, the Israeli Foreign Ministry announced.
Foreign Minister Gideon Sa’ar instructed Israel’s embassy in Panama to provide immediate assistance to residents in affected areas. Israel will supply drinking water to Playa Venao, where damage to electricity and water infrastructure has caused water shortages.
The aid, coordinated with local Panamanian authorities, will also include essential food supplies purchased in cooperation with the Israeli community in Panama.
The Foreign Ministry said its embassy is continuing to monitor developments and remains in contact with local authorities while assisting those affected by the earthquake and Israeli nationals in the area.
