Israel to deliver first laser interceptor system to IDF by year’s end
Israel’s Defense Ministry announced that the first Or Eitan laser-interceptor system will be delivered to the IDF by December 30. The system, developed with Rafael, recently completed successful tests intercepting rockets, mortars, missiles, drones, and loitering munitions. Officials say the high-power laser will significantly strengthen Israel’s multi-layered air-defense network as it begins integration into the Air Force later this year.
