Israel summons Russian ambassador to protest Hamas visit in Moscow
Russia’s ambassador to Israel, Anatoly Viktorov, was summoned to a protest call at the Israeli Foreign Ministry in Jerusalem on Sunday over the visit of a Hamas delegation to Moscow on Thursday.
Israeli officials told Viktorov that Israel saw a serious lack of unequivocal and clear condemnation of Hamas on the part of Moscow.
They added that hosting leaders of the terrorists who are responsible for the murderous terrorist attack on Oct. 7, for the kidnapping of hostages and the murder of over 1,400 people in Israel, conveys a message of legitimacy for terrorism against the Jewish state.
