Israel sees potential Trump strike on Iran as bid to bring regime to negotiating table
Israel believes U.S. President Donald Trump is preparing to strike Iran to force the ayatollah regime into talks, Kan News reported Tuesday.
Israel’s security cabinet met to discuss the Iranian front and other regional arenas.
The report said Syria’s leadership is staying publicly silent, fearing Iran could use remnants of the Assad regime to destabilize Damascus. A Syrian source said the government would welcome a fall of Tehran’s leadership.
Saudi Arabia and the UAE are also avoiding public comment, preferring a weakened Iran rather than a sudden collapse, which they fear could bring regional chaos.
