Israel launches song selection process for Eurovision 2026
The selection process for Israel’s entry to the Eurovision Song Contest 2026 in Vienna has officially begun.
Under new rules, submitted song recordings must not include the voice of any of the song’s creators, or any identifiable voice that could reveal their identity to the professional committee. Creators may use AI-generated vocals to ensure anonymous selection. As in previous years, lyricists — who must hold Israeli ID cards — are required to include at least two lines in Hebrew.
Songs can be submitted until January 26, 2026. The Eurovision semifinals will take place on May 12 and 14, 2026, with the grand final scheduled for May 16, 2026.
