Israel killed two thirds of Hamas terrorists who invaded Israel on Oct 7, defense minister says
Two thirds of the Hamas terrorists who infiltrated Israel on Oct. 7, 2023, have been eliminated so far, Israel's Defense Minister Katz stated.
"6,000 terrorists crossed the border into Israel on Simchat Torah and carried out the atrocities. Of them, 4,000 have been eliminated so far, and 2,000 remain."
"The instruction from the Prime Minister and me to the IDF and all the security forces is sharp and clear: beyond the supreme objective of dismantling Hamas and demilitarizing Gaza — to pursue and eliminate them all without limitation and under any circumstances, from the senior ranks to the junior ones," Katz said.
Earlier, Israeli media reported that IDF Military Intelligence Chief Maj.-Gen. Shlomi Binder revealed these figures in a briefing to the Political-Security Cabinet last night. Binder also stressed that the Intelligence Directorate continues to hunt the remaining 2,000 terrorists who have not yet been eliminated.
