Israel deepens ties with Somaliland, trains its special forces
Roughly six months after Israel recognized Somaliland’s independence, security ties between the two sides are reportedly growing stronger. According to The Telegraph, around 50 members of Somaliland’s special forces recently returned home after receiving training and instruction in Israel.
The report highlights expanding defense cooperation between Israel and Somaliland, the self-declared state in the Horn of Africa that seeks broader international recognition.
