Israeli officials are increasingly concerned that Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan is helping Syrian President Ahmad al-Sharaa rebuild Syria’s military capabilities, particularly its air force.
Satellite images aired by Kan News showed recent rehabilitation work at the Abu al-Duhur military airbase in northwestern Syria, which had been out of operation since the fall of Bashar al-Assad’s regime. Turkey has reportedly been involved in rehabilitating the base and other Syrian military capabilities.
