Israel Competition Authority probes El Al over alleged price gouging during war
Israel’s Competition Authority announced on Sunday that it intends to open an investigation into El Al Airlines on suspicion that the airline charged excessive prices during the war.
According to the authority, El Al faces a potential fine of NIS 121 million, pending the outcome of a formal hearing. The probe follows complaints that airfares surged sharply during the conflict, raising concerns about unfair pricing practices.
