Israel allows daytime Jewish prayer at Joseph’s Tomb in Nablus after 25 years
Defense Minister Israel Katz, MK Zvi Sukkot, and Settlement Division head Yishai Merling agreed that visits to Joseph’s Tomb in Nablus will be extended to daylight hours starting tonight.
The decision marks the first time in roughly 25 years that worshippers will be allowed to enter the site during the day.
Since the evacuation of the Joseph’s Tomb yeshiva in 2000, access to the compound — located in Area A in the heart of Nablus — has been limited to nighttime visits only, under IDF coordination and heavy security.
