ISIS attack on Israeli embassy in Azerbaijan foiled by Azeri security forces
The Azeri security forces foiled a planned attack on the Israeli embassy in Baku by an ISIS cell, Israeli media reported.
Azerbaijani State Security revealed that three men connected to ISIS-K, the central Asian ISIS branch, were arrested on suspicion of targeting an unnamed foreign embassy.
The Times of Israel reported that their target was the Israeli embassy in Baku, and that they planned to carry out the attack several months ago.
Israeli Foreign Minister Gideon Sa’ar visited Baku on Monday.
