IRGC: Strait of Hormuz transit allowed only on approved routes
Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) said overnight that vessels may transit the Strait of Hormuz only through routes approved by its naval forces.
The IRGC warned that navigation outside those designated corridors is “extremely dangerous” and prohibited. It added that coordination with the IRGC Navy is mandatory for ships passing through the strait and said it would take action against any vessel that violates the directive.
