IRGC claims to have attacked US forces in Syria
The IRGC said it launched a surprise attack on a U.S. special operations command center in Syria's al-Tanf area, claiming it struck American forces.
There has been no confirmation in Syria of the reported attack.
Syria announced at the beginning of the year that all U.S. troops had withdrawn from the al-Tanf base, which had been used in operations against ISIS. The United States subsequently announced its withdrawal from Syria.
